If you're a fan of puzzle games then the chances are you will absolutely love Glyph.
Based on the popular PC game of the same name, Glyph sees you transported to the dying world of Kuros. Here you need to help save the planet by harnessing the powers of wood, fire, water, metal and aether. Powerful and ancient stones, or Glyphs as they're also known, hold the key to restoring Kuros to its former beauty.
Your objective is to break through the layers of rock by matching Guardstones and uncover the alluring mystery of the Glyphs. You do this just by clicking on a rock which has more than one other rock of the same color around it. When you make a connection, all the matching rocks are smashed and another part of the puzzle is revealed.
The gameplay is very simple to grasp once you start playing and can become highly addictive. Variety is added in the form of power-ups, or 'artifacts' which alter the behavior of the stones to help you solve puzzles quicker. If there's one criticism I could level at the gameplay it's that it can be a little easy and at times it doesn't really feel like you're doing much apart from just clicking at the screen.
The presentation in Glyph is very impressive. The graphics are bright and colorful and the music and speech give the game a real polished feel. Perhaps the Glyphs themselves are a little small and it can be a bit fiddly at times.
Although the concept of Glyph isn't that challenging, there are more than 250 levels to negotiate before you finish it.
